Yodot MOV Repair is a small utility created to help you repair broken and corrupted MOV video files. Besides MOV files, it also supports MP4 and M4V files.
Unfortunately, it failed to process most of the MOV files that I provided. I tried many files, from various sources, encoded using different codecs and apps, and it eventually worked only in one single case out of 5. For the failed cases, it just displayed an “Unsupported format” error message with no other explanations or information.
In conclusion, when it comes to reliability, Yodot MOV Repair failed my testing. In fact, the only benefit of this application remains its easy-to-use interface, as its rather high price is also not something that deserves much praising. Note that in order to attempt the repairing of a video file this application also requires you to provide a healthy reference file of the same format and parameters, to be analyzed and used to facilitate the fixing process. This might prove inconvenient to some users, though in my opinion it’s still far from being the most problematic issue about this tool.
To sum it all up, I'd say trying Yodot MOV Repair is worth only if you're truly desperate about fixing a MOV video and you've already tried all other options.
